On-Set Chemistry

Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester
Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf
Why do fans think that Ed and Leigh are together? Well we don't. But if Ed would say stuff like he is Madly in Love with Leigh, it's freaking hard not to speculate. Chuck and Blair share an extraordinary relationship. Their "Dark Sides" are something all of us have come to love so if they are so good on screen one can only wish that they give it a try off screen.

Love, Life, Lust

Love yourself, others will love u too. Don't search for a boyfriend, search for best friends. If you are lucky then one of your best friend will become your boyfriend.

Love, Life, Lust

Boyfriends are not that important, If he isn't truly the one then getting a boyfriend just for the sake of having a boyfriend is an invitation to heartache.

Maroon 5

I fell in love with Maroon 5 after hearing "She will be loved". For almost 4 months I religiously listened to that song on loop and still once in a while I can't resist that song. "She will be loved" was followed by "Won't go home without you", "Through with you" and "Wake up call". That's it, I was forever hooked.

Thankfully songs like "Moves like Jagger" and "One more Night" has kept me a loyal Maroon 5 fan and Adam Levine's grovelling has kept me as a loyal Voice fan. Well his grovelling, t-shirts with holes and tattoos!!

Sadly I have never seen their live performance but fingers crossed.

Best thing about Maroon 5 - Adam Levine's voice and the lyrics of the songs. Love Love Love them..

My Personal Favorites:

So I cross my heart and I hope to die
That I'll only stay with you one more night
And I know I said it a million times
But I'll only stay with you one more night

I don't mind spending every day
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved

Walking on the edge under the tears of sky

For the first time in God-only-knows-how-many-years I went to our society swimming pool with my Mum's friend's daughter. Weird, right? Anyhoo it was already raining like hell so I didn't really got the idea of going in the water while there was so much water already falling on you. Still I went. While she was swimming, I was getting drenched and I would have just gone in the pool if I wasn't "not-allowed" to enter the pool in cotton clothes *rolling my eyes*

The pool was divided in two parts separated by a small wall. One for kids and other for grown-ups. Due to rain the wall was almost submerged in water. So for want of nothing better to do I started walking on the narrow wall under water all the while fearing that at any second I will slip and fall and my mobile would die :-( But my acquaintance got hold of my hand and together we started walking - she inside the water and I on the wall. Once I was sure I have got used to it I let her go and continued walking on the edge under the tears of sky. It was one of those rare moments when you discover something amazing and it becomes one of the most cherished memories you had.....

Grey and Black World

The unstoppable rain and the unstoppable boredom. The world continue to be a haze of grey and black and my social prospects continue to get gloomier. Six days since college started and three holidays on the register. If this continues than my internal assessment marks would be a disaster. But if I do go, it means messed up ruined wet clothes, hopelessly searching for buses and the most dreaded - swimming in the pool of water with stray dogs. With every passing day I am trying to search internal will power to face the monstrous rains and add some brightness to the grey and black world. Bright clothes, bright nail paints and brighter outlook....

Surviving on one and a half hour of sleep...

I envy him!
Today was going to be the first day of my college. So, of course I wasn't able to sleep until 3:30 am and I had to wake up at 5 am. Disaster. Impossible. But somehow I managed. I got up and out of bed. Even got dressed. Only problem - the roads are flooded and huge traffic jams. So I couldn't reach college in less than two hours at least. Which means I can only attend one l
lecture. Hence my mum suggests go back and sleep. Sadly, I couldn't. I don't know why but I just couldn't. It's 4:10 right now and I am still surviving on one and a half hour of sleep and I still can't sleep. People say sleeping is not work. Huh! *Yawn*

Rain Rain Go Away

Railway track flooded with water
I know it's really important that it rains for agricultural reasons. I love walking in rain, I love sitting on my bed and looking outside the window while it's raining and love eating hot pakodas while it rains. What I don't like is waiting for local trains at 6 am in station as they are running late due to excessive rains and when it does come, the trains are overflowing, muddy and smelling from all the sweat and what-not. What I don't like is swimming in huge ponds of stagnant waters with cars and dogs. What I don't like is waiting for bus for an hour and still there is no clue where the bus is.

So, as long as I am sitting in my home I am super happy with rain but if I have to go to college or for some party then please rain, rain go away; come again another day!

How the hell pilots concentrate?

I have no idea how pilots can concentrate. Whenever I sit in a flight, I just keep on look at clouds and horizon. Just the idea that we can fly is so awesome and looking at clouds beneath you instead of above; priceless!
But best of all - landings. The way everything looks super small but gradually it becomes bigger and bigger and then touchdown. Love it. The thrill and the weird feeling in the tummy, wow just wow.
So the question remains, how the hell pilots concentrate???

Book Reviews

I am no expert of Literature or anything like that but I am a die-hard Novel-Worm. So this post is just to share my all time Favorite books and some of their reviews with you all.
I definitely enjoyed reading these books, hopefully you will too....
(To read the post just click on the title)

I would love to know if you liked the following posts. You can share your views in the comment box of this post or on my facebook page "Novel-Worms Page"

1. Top 10 Mangas I Love
It's the list of my favorite mangas. Making this list was soooo difficult. Partly because I have read lots and lots and lots of Mangas and so it was pretty difficult to choose the top 10 but mostly because I admired all the mangas . The stories and awesome characters - my God they are all amazing. But in the end these are my top 10.

2. A Telephone Call by Dorothy Parker
I fell in love with Dorothy Parker after reading her poem Resume. A Telephone Call didn't disappoint me at all. It is such a simple story with even simpler perspective that it's simplicity throws you off balance.

3. Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz
This is a very sassy novel with a very original plot. I read Melissa de la Cruz's short story "Shelter Island" which is based on the Blue Blood series and I immediately got hooked.

4. Top 10 Crime Novels I Love
We live in a century obsessed with crimes and intrigued by cunning heartless murderers. Hence, these top 10 Crime Novels to satiate the appetites of crime and mystery lovers.

5. Top 10 Novels featuring Revolution
I love history. My History teacher commented in her first lecture that history is nothing but "His-Story" hence we need to learn history as if we are reading a story. Stories and History goes hand in hand and if you like castles and gowns and ball dancing mixed with manipulation and backstabbing in royal courts then Historical Fiction is your genre. I have always been fascinated by Revolution, after all it gave birth to our present society. Therefore, these top 10 novels that are set in the time of revolution.

6. Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar
I saw Gossip Girl serial before I read Gossip Girl that is why I like the serial more than novel series but the books are interesting and you just can't keep them down.

7. The Devil wears Prada and Everyone Worth Knowing by Lauren Weisberger
Both the novels are completely different and yet similar to each other or maybe I felt they are because I read them back to back but they are chic and they are small. I finished both in two hours so they are perfect to spend time in flight. Plus, reading definitely distracts you from stupid air pressure and weird feeling in the ear. It's a better and way healthier distraction than eating candies....

8. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
I am sure all the Twilight lovers and haters have already read this novel and there is no need to write a review for this one but Twilight literally changed the way vampires were perceived and it can't really be ignored when writing book reviews. I bought Twilight just before New Moon was released in India. I had no idea about the series, the only reason I bought it because the cover page was Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's photo. Yes, I judge book by covers especially when the cover is so so so Gorgeous. Anyhoo I realized that Twilight was a big deal while changing the channels and stumbling on New Moon trailer. Now I had read the whole series 28 times and counting....

9. Top 11 Angel Novels I Love
My first Angel novel was Angel by L. A. Weatherly where angels are actually bad guys and since that series I have fallen in love with angels....

10. Top 10 Fashion Novels
I love novels and I love fashion, ergo I love fashion novels; simple.

11. Top 20 Supernatural Short stories
For those who don't have either patience or attention span to read whole novels. I am a sucker for supernatural hence that is the only genre where I have read most of the short stories.

12. Top 10 Vampire Novels I love
Last but definitely not the least, my all time favorite Vampire Novels. 50% of my library is filled with Vampire Novels. This is the hardest post I had ever written. Choosing top 10 was like choosing between chocolate and mangoes - Impossible. But somehow I did it.

Officially Smarter

After waking up at ungodly hour, running to bank to make a DD, reaching Sion, getting xerox of my marksheet, filling the form on the school counter at the last moment and borrowing scissors from strangers (and almost forgetting my mobile on the counter), hunting down the coordinator, getting my documents attested, making last minutes adjustments, hunting down the cashier and getting the receipt; I am Officially the student of Second Year Bachelor of Arts. Phew! It's easier to pass exams than getting admission, even in your own college!

Yummy Guys with Tattoos

Paul Wesley:
The Yummy Vampire Diaries star have a Gorgeous Rose tattoo. I guess the first time I fell in love with it was when Stefan was fighting the need for human blood by exercising and his tattoo flexed with his muscles. Drool!
Originally the tattoo was something else which he got at the age of 15 but when he reached the legal age Paul really hated it and decided to get the rose tattoo to cover it up.
The Vampire Diaries producers decided to let Paul aka Stefan have some ink instead of covering it up every time they showed Stefan shirtless. GOOD MOVE!!!!

Adam Levine:
  • 222 - the tattoo on his forearm is the number of doors of the very first studio Maroon 5 recorded in.
  • A paw print on the back of his right shoulder with Frankie Girl underneath it. Frankie is the name of his Golden Retriever.
  • The Sanskrit script on the left chest may mean Sun. It's been too long since I had learnt Sanskrit. If it doesn't means sun then Oopsey.....
  • Adam was born in Los Angeles and therefore he got it in cursive on the upper right bicep.
  • The Roman X, i.e., 10 either represents 10 years anniversary of Maroon 5 or 10 years with Jesse Carmichael's friendship.
  • My personal favorite amazingly detailed and gorgeous Guitar on the left side.
  • After 9/11 events he got a beautiful tattoo of Dove and Cherry Blossoms to remember all the lives that were lost.
  • Not to forget the awesome tiger Tattoo. It's fantastic.
The first time I saw Adam's tattoo was in the show "The Voice". I had seen the videos of Maroon 5 songs but I don't know how I never noticed that he has tattoos. Silly me....

Alexander Pettyfer:

All in all he have 7 tattoos but nobody knows where the 7th tattoo is. Hmmmmmm
  • The first one is the Celtic Cross with his date of birth beneath it. It's kinda a combination of Christian cross with a circle.
  • My bloody favorite "What goes around comes around". This is my motto in the life and if I could ever muster the courage to get a tattoo then I will definitely get this one!
  • There is a conflict between the third one, its ER. People say it means Emma Roberts but he says that it means Elizabeth Royal. He claims to be a big fan of Elizabeth the second.
  • He has a tattoo of Emma on his ring finger for his girl friend but sadly they broke up. :-(
  • Inside his forearm there is and Arabic script tattoo which might mean "Your mind is stronger than you body". From what I can see he has a pretty strong and sexy body so hopefully his mind is even better.
  • Below his waist he got his name tattooed in Japanese.

Chad Murray:
On the show "One Tree Hill" Lucas Scott gets a Japanese tattoo while having wild time with Brooke Davis. As far as I know Chad have four tattoos. Relax on his inner right wrist, his initials CMM and a cross on his inner left wrist along with the Japanese word.

Personally I am super scared of needles but I love tattoos. The tragedy of my life. The only thing I don't understand is why these "Super Sexy Guys" have tattoos in Sanskrit, Japanese ans Arabic? Who will understand that anyway! I know it's not my place to judge but COME ON! Thankfully they made up for that fact by some pretty cool tattoos. Even though Adam have most tattoos I prefer Paul Wesley more. First, Beauty in Simpicity, I just loved the rose plus the story behind is pretty funny. The reason Chad Murray is last is because of his CMM tattoo. That one looks tacky and overcrowded. Still I love them all.....

Report on a Report

Almost a month ago I read an article where they said that Kristen was literally stalking Robert while he was ignoring her calls in Australia during his shoot for his movie "Rover" now my e-mail is flooded with the news that Robert Pattinson missed Kristen Stewart like crazy when he was in Australia. Come on people, make up your mind, Either he was ignoring her or he was missing her, it cannot be both.
I know, I know I should just stop reading these stupid news but at times like this its bloody hilarious to read such contrasting and absurd articles. Its even more entertaining then any serial, movie or novel I had read.

Until I chance upon another absurd news report,

Celebrations after Trepidations

Yesterday I woke up feeling like crap and nervous like hell. Everyone ask "how are you?" on the day of exams but the real battle we fight is on the day of result. Needless to say I was on the verge of nervous breakdown on the way to my college and waiting even two minutes in the line was a torture but as soon as I got the result and realized, after double checking, that I have got great marks it was finally time for celebrations!

Firstly, I watched Iron Man 3. Awesome movie! Then had a party in McD and then had dinner party in Dominos. Cheese Burst Pizza <3 Yum!

So I guess it was a pretty fun ending to a pretty scary day. Thank God!

I hope everyone get awesome results and when you do don't forget to party but even if you don't do treat yourself. There is not a better time to pamper yourself than when you are feeling down.

I am no saint but here's my understanding of Karma, mostly it just means what goes around comes back around. The idea is whatever you do, good or bad, you have to face its consequences. Some say its what you will be born in another birth, some say it's going in heaven or hell but I think we just have one life and we have to face the consequences of our decisions in this life only. You do good and good will happen to you, you do bad and bad will happen to you.

In ancient times whatever was good for men they got the status of God like Tulsi, Sun, Water, etc. so that people would treat it with respect and not destroy it. I think this is how the idea of Karma was born. We are taught that God is everywhere and whatever we do is chronicled and upon that your further fate would be decided. What best to make people do good things and stop them from doing bad things than Karma.

Of course now the problem is that spirituality is taken as a synonym of religion and religion has become a guilt management device. Nobody thinks of God until and unless they are in exam halls and they haven't prepared for the paper, or the day the result is coming, or when people go to temples, church, mosques to wash away their sins. So they happily do the bad and embrace science and if they feel guilty or if they want something people remember God.

In the end Karma is nothing but your conscience. In this world innocents suffer more than sinners but faith is a Godly weapon and hopefully a time will come when no one will be a victim and the sinners will be punished while the Honest women and men are rewarded. Hopefully.

Arushi Raj

Just because I love to be alone, just because I prefer company of my books more than people and just because I would rather be in my room looking out of the window and watch the birds fight for bread crumbs than go on parties that doesn't make me lonely. Some people need other people to make them happy. I love myself, I am content with myself and I am happy to be with myself. I don't need a crowd to be cool and I don't need approval to be fun because in the end there is a very thin line between being lonely and enjoying your company. I love my friends, I love McD but I love to just curl on my bed with a great book and lovely music even more.

You know I'm no good by Amy Winehouse

The video of the song is ridiculous and unintentionally funny which is a shame as the song is amazing. The lyrics, the music, Amy Winehouse's voice they are so perfect together. I have been listening to this song in a loop from last week and I still love it. I think the best part of the song is the music, its like a smooth sexy melody and Amy's voice is just another instrument which blends in. I think I like this one even better than "Rehab"

Kristen Stewart is Gorgeous...

As a die-hard twilight fan I too was disappointed when I watched the Twilight movies. Kristen Stewart's acting was horrendous, she killed Bella. No doubt she is pale enough to be Bella but her acting, UGH!

I recently saw Snow White and the Huntsman and no her acting has not improved. Thankfully she was given extremely less lines so the movie was salvageable but what really made it worth watching was Kristen's cold pale beauty. She can't act but she is definitely Snow White. Her complexion is divine. She is covered in mud, her dress is torn and still she manages to look gorgeous. She truly is as white as snow. Combine that with great costumes, awesome effects and breathtaking scenery and the movie rocks! Her eyes, her lips everything reminded me of Snow White.

In the starting there was a scene where Queen Eleanor touches a red rose and three drops of blood falls on the snow and the Queen wishes that her child would be as white as snow with lips as red as blood, hair as dark as raven and with the strength of that defiant rose; well Kristen Stewart managed to bring that impossible picture to life.

After watching that movie I browsed through some of Kristen's pics and found some wonderful pics of her in which she was looking so so so beautiful. These are some of my favorites:

Even though she is wearing casuals, she looks stunning with her disheveled hair and care-free smile.
She is in a suit but I haven't seen anyone look more feminine. Her eyes have this mischievousness which is encouraged by her almost-faint smile.

Nude colored dress + rich dark brown hair + lovely red lipstick = WOW

I love love love her dress. It's bold, it's sexy and it's perfect.

Mama Mia! This photo is the definition of sexy. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, well thank God because I am speechless.

How come someone look so awesome with crutches! Not fair but Kristen can pull off even crutches as an accessory.

By no means I have suddenly started loving Kristen as an actress but no doubt she is one of the most gorgeous brunette in the world.

Two Black Cadillacs by Carrie Underwood

The story line is almost a cliche. The Guy betrays his wife by having an affair with another woman and they both get together and take revenge on him by murdering him. Good enough. I guess the great part is Carrie Underwood's voice, lovely costume and make-up and gorgeous setting but the best part were the stunning Cadillacs. This is a great song if you are watching the video but without it, it's kind of average. Also the Cadillac is maybe possessed or ghostly or something like that, no idea how it fits with either video or song but it is what it is.

My Sky

The view from my window at Night
Encyclopedia Sky
I have sixteen different encyclopedias in my home but I only used them to either see pictures of dinosaurs or universe. The black sky and all those tiny stars shining in the page seemed like a fantasy to me. It was really hard to believe that this is the same sky that is over my head. I mean in the best days I would see two or three stars and the sky would never be as dark as it was in picture. My sky is kinda grey-ish with ghostly white clouds dancing in it and this is why the sky in encyclopedia always amazed me. Until one day when I was in Mahabaleshwar on a mountain in some sort of mini-carnival and the light went out. In the three minutes it took for them to get the generator started I saw a pitch black sky with millions of stars in them, my encyclopedia sky. Till this day, I haven't seen anything more gorgeous than that.

The view from my building at morning
Men can try as much as they want but when it comes to beauty I don't think there is any man-made thing that can beat nature. Just look outside your window for two minutes. The swaying of the trees, different birds chirping and flying, the varying change in the colors of sky and the serenity of the vista, it's all breathtaking.

Some believe it was God who created Universe, some say it was a bunch of reactions, well whoever or whatever the hell did it, He/She/It is the greatest artist in the world.

Disasters - Natural and Man made

Iran, Pakistan and Northern India was struck by an earthquake of 7.9 magnitude. It was the biggest earthquake Iran has experienced in 50 years. In India tremors were felt in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Tremors were also felt in the Gulf States.

There was an immense panic everywhere. In Iran it is being estimated that almost 40 people were killed while many were injured in Pakistan. Comparatively, India did not experience much destruction.

On the other side of the world, there was a bomb attack in Boston during a marathon. In this twin blasts 3 are reported dead while 176 were injured.

All my love and sympathies are with the victims of both disasters. The only sucky part is, the earthquake was a natural disaster, there was no way to stop it but what happened in Boston was a blotch on humanity. All those people didn't have to go through that pain and loss.

Natural disasters are sad and painful but when the disaster is man-made you couldn't help but feel anger and desolation. How a person can find it in itself to harm so many innocent people and not feel remorse for it, I will never understand that.

With heavy heart concluding this post,
