Report on a Report

Almost a month ago I read an article where they said that Kristen was literally stalking Robert while he was ignoring her calls in Australia during his shoot for his movie "Rover" now my e-mail is flooded with the news that Robert Pattinson missed Kristen Stewart like crazy when he was in Australia. Come on people, make up your mind, Either he was ignoring her or he was missing her, it cannot be both.
I know, I know I should just stop reading these stupid news but at times like this its bloody hilarious to read such contrasting and absurd articles. Its even more entertaining then any serial, movie or novel I had read.

Until I chance upon another absurd news report,

Celebrations after Trepidations

Yesterday I woke up feeling like crap and nervous like hell. Everyone ask "how are you?" on the day of exams but the real battle we fight is on the day of result. Needless to say I was on the verge of nervous breakdown on the way to my college and waiting even two minutes in the line was a torture but as soon as I got the result and realized, after double checking, that I have got great marks it was finally time for celebrations!

Firstly, I watched Iron Man 3. Awesome movie! Then had a party in McD and then had dinner party in Dominos. Cheese Burst Pizza <3 Yum!

So I guess it was a pretty fun ending to a pretty scary day. Thank God!

I hope everyone get awesome results and when you do don't forget to party but even if you don't do treat yourself. There is not a better time to pamper yourself than when you are feeling down.

Karma

I am no saint but here's my understanding of Karma, mostly it just means what goes around comes back around. The idea is whatever you do, good or bad, you have to face its consequences. Some say its what you will be born in another birth, some say it's going in heaven or hell but I think we just have one life and we have to face the consequences of our decisions in this life only. You do good and good will happen to you, you do bad and bad will happen to you.

In ancient times whatever was good for men they got the status of God like Tulsi, Sun, Water, etc. so that people would treat it with respect and not destroy it. I think this is how the idea of Karma was born. We are taught that God is everywhere and whatever we do is chronicled and upon that your further fate would be decided. What best to make people do good things and stop them from doing bad things than Karma.

Of course now the problem is that spirituality is taken as a synonym of religion and religion has become a guilt management device. Nobody thinks of God until and unless they are in exam halls and they haven't prepared for the paper, or the day the result is coming, or when people go to temples, church, mosques to wash away their sins. So they happily do the bad and embrace science and if they feel guilty or if they want something people remember God.

In the end Karma is nothing but your conscience. In this world innocents suffer more than sinners but faith is a Godly weapon and hopefully a time will come when no one will be a victim and the sinners will be punished while the Honest women and men are rewarded. Hopefully.

Lonely?

Just because I love to be alone, just because I prefer company of my books more than people and just because I would rather be in my room looking out of the window and watch the birds fight for bread crumbs than go on parties that doesn't make me lonely. Some people need other people to make them happy. I love myself, I am content with myself and I am happy to be with myself. I don't need a crowd to be cool and I don't need approval to be fun because in the end there is a very thin line between being lonely and enjoying your company. I love my friends, I love McD but I love to just curl on my bed with a great book and lovely music even more.

You know I'm no good by Amy Winehouse

The video of the song is ridiculous and unintentionally funny which is a shame as the song is amazing. The lyrics, the music, Amy Winehouse's voice they are so perfect together. I have been listening to this song in a loop from last week and I still love it. I think the best part of the song is the music, its like a smooth sexy melody and Amy's voice is just another instrument which blends in. I think I like this one even better than "Rehab"

Kristen Stewart is Gorgeous...

As a die-hard twilight fan I too was disappointed when I watched the Twilight movies. Kristen Stewart's acting was horrendous, she killed Bella. No doubt she is pale enough to be Bella but her acting, UGH!

I recently saw Snow White and the Huntsman and no her acting has not improved. Thankfully she was given extremely less lines so the movie was salvageable but what really made it worth watching was Kristen's cold pale beauty. She can't act but she is definitely Snow White. Her complexion is divine. She is covered in mud, her dress is torn and still she manages to look gorgeous. She truly is as white as snow. Combine that with great costumes, awesome effects and breathtaking scenery and the movie rocks! Her eyes, her lips everything reminded me of Snow White.

In the starting there was a scene where Queen Eleanor touches a red rose and three drops of blood falls on the snow and the Queen wishes that her child would be as white as snow with lips as red as blood, hair as dark as raven and with the strength of that defiant rose; well Kristen Stewart managed to bring that impossible picture to life.

After watching that movie I browsed through some of Kristen's pics and found some wonderful pics of her in which she was looking so so so beautiful. These are some of my favorites:

Even though she is wearing casuals, she looks stunning with her disheveled hair and care-free smile.

She is in a suit but I haven't seen anyone look more feminine. Her eyes have this mischievousness which is encouraged by her almost-faint smile.

Nude colored dress + rich dark brown hair + lovely red lipstick = WOW

I love love love her dress. It's bold, it's sexy and it's perfect.

Mama Mia! This photo is the definition of sexy. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, well thank God because I am speechless.

How come someone look so awesome with crutches! Not fair but Kristen can pull off even crutches as an accessory.

By no means I have suddenly started loving Kristen as an actress but no doubt she is one of the most gorgeous brunette in the world.

Two Black Cadillacs by Carrie Underwood

The story line is almost a cliche. The Guy betrays his wife by having an affair with another woman and they both get together and take revenge on him by murdering him. Good enough. I guess the great part is Carrie Underwood's voice, lovely costume and make-up and gorgeous setting but the best part were the stunning Cadillacs. This is a great song if you are watching the video but without it, it's kind of average. Also the Cadillac is maybe possessed or ghostly or something like that, no idea how it fits with either video or song but it is what it is.

My Sky

The view from my window at Night
Encyclopedia Sky
I have sixteen different encyclopedias in my home but I only used them to either see pictures of dinosaurs or universe. The black sky and all those tiny stars shining in the page seemed like a fantasy to me. It was really hard to believe that this is the same sky that is over my head. I mean in the best days I would see two or three stars and the sky would never be as dark as it was in picture. My sky is kinda grey-ish with ghostly white clouds dancing in it and this is why the sky in encyclopedia always amazed me. Until one day when I was in Mahabaleshwar on a mountain in some sort of mini-carnival and the light went out. In the three minutes it took for them to get the generator started I saw a pitch black sky with millions of stars in them, my encyclopedia sky. Till this day, I haven't seen anything more gorgeous than that.

The view from my building at morning
Men can try as much as they want but when it comes to beauty I don't think there is any man-made thing that can beat nature. Just look outside your window for two minutes. The swaying of the trees, different birds chirping and flying, the varying change in the colors of sky and the serenity of the vista, it's all breathtaking.

Some believe it was God who created Universe, some say it was a bunch of reactions, well whoever or whatever the hell did it, He/She/It is the greatest artist in the world.

Disasters - Natural and Man made

Iran, Pakistan and Northern India was struck by an earthquake of 7.9 magnitude. It was the biggest earthquake Iran has experienced in 50 years. In India tremors were felt in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Tremors were also felt in the Gulf States.

There was an immense panic everywhere. In Iran it is being estimated that almost 40 people were killed while many were injured in Pakistan. Comparatively, India did not experience much destruction.

On the other side of the world, there was a bomb attack in Boston during a marathon. In this twin blasts 3 are reported dead while 176 were injured.

All my love and sympathies are with the victims of both disasters. The only sucky part is, the earthquake was a natural disaster, there was no way to stop it but what happened in Boston was a blotch on humanity. All those people didn't have to go through that pain and loss.

Natural disasters are sad and painful but when the disaster is man-made you couldn't help but feel anger and desolation. How a person can find it in itself to harm so many innocent people and not feel remorse for it, I will never understand that.

With heavy heart concluding this post,

On set Relationships

1. Vampire Diaries

Nina Dobrev who is playing the double role of Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce is dating Ian Somerhalder aka Damon Salvatore.

Paul Wesley and his wife Torrey DeVitto worked together in "Killer Movie" and in "The Vampire Diaries" as Stefan Salvatore and Meridith Fell, "Army Wives" as PFC Logan Atwater and Maggie Hall, though Paul was in Season 2 and 3 whereas Torrey DeVitto is a main character in season 7.

2. Revenge

Emily Irene VanCamp who plays Emily Thorne in Revenge is dating Josh Bowman aka Daniel Grayson.

3. Twilight Saga.

Kristen Stewart aka Bella Swan and Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen had been an on and off couple ever since they met in the set of Twilight.

4. One Tree Hill

Chad Michael Murray (Lucas Scott) dated Sophia Bush

(Brooke Davis) and married her after two years but they split in five months and before their divorce could be finalized Murray started dating Kenzie Dalton who played an extra cheerleeder in the serial. Now they are engaged.

Also Sophia started dating James Lafferty (Nathan Scott, Lucas' half brother in the serial.) Then she dated Austin Nicholas (Julian Baker) but they too broke up. Phew! And I thought the relationships in the serial were messed up.

Hilarie Burton who plays Peyton Sawyer married the show's assistant director Ian Prange but now they are divorced.

5. Snow White and the Huntsman

Kristen Stewart who played the role of Snow White had an affair with the director of the movie Rupert Sanders who was at that time married to Liberty Ross who played the role of Snow White's mother Queen Eleanor. Now they are divorced while Kristen is back together with Robert Pattinson.

Insomia

There are times when you are sitting like me at 12:50 am in front of your laptop, you are tired, listening to Adele and typing the first thing you can think of. Your eyes are drooping, throat is aching and it feels like you are 100 years old with a back problem but worst of all, there is this feeling of a heavy weight on your shoulders. When you think about it you realize that it's not because within few days the results would be out or because your boyfriend's mother is reincarnation of Medusa. They are not the reason you sit in front of your laptop at 12:50 typing shit. It's because you have dared yourself to write the first thing you can think of. Well these were the only words bouncing in my head at 12:50. So, to all the other crazies who are sitting in front of their laptops at this ungodly hour, I hope you all have a great night and go to bed before the dawn breaks.

Things to do before the result comes out....

There are some silly kids around us who fret and worry and waste their whole summer vacations wondering what their results would be but some smart people like me enjoy as much as we can before we are trapped in a dungeon for at least 2 to 4 months.

Few pointers from my 'have-fun' book which serious-about-career people can definitely use:

1. Party!
Giving an exam is like fighting a battle for us, we never forget how much we worked hard (allegedly) and we shouldn't let our parents forget that too. So once the exams are over it is only fair that we party even harder to bring up our spirits. For those who have strict parents who do not approve of you partying OUTSIDE can bring party at your home. Call all your friends, order insane amounts of Pizza and burgers, watch crappy movies and play music in an unbearably high volume. After that either your parents will send you out to party from next time or they will send you out, period.

2. Go on a shopping spree....
There is nothing more distracting than shopping. Choosing, looking over the costs, bargaining like hell, they distract you immensely. Personally, I had bought two pair of sandals and a pair of boots, thirteen novels and an Ultrabook. The another positive aspect of shopping is that there is a high possibility that after the results are out your parents won't be inclined to buy stuff for you so it's better to buy everything you can when there is still hope in their hearts that your result would be brilliant and that we might even top in class.

3. Make a trip
Go somewhere aside from your home town. Goa or Paris! Wherever the hell you want. If you don't have time to go out of state because of some internship or something like that then take a road trip or just go on a very long drive on Sundays. There is nothing more liberating than being on road listening to your favorite band and just feeling wind against your face.

4. Save some alone time
It is great to be with your friends in vacations especially after all the months of projects, presentations and exams but it has also been a long since you have spent time with yourself. So do whatever you want to do, alone. Give yourself a me-time because once the result comes the cycle will start again. Get admission, go to classes and before you know it you would be taking pics of the Unit Test Time Table. I Love to curl up on my bed and read novels which is also one of the reasons that I have finished reading five novels in last ten days.

5. Learn something freaky
Enroll yourself in classes and from classes I don't mean sucky tutorials to start studying for the next term. Start something you always dreamt of doing because trust me this is the only time we will get. As soon as we get out of college and in the "real world" there would be no time to learn to play guitar or learn salsa. If not that then learn a new language, I am learning french which is super crazy and super hard and I am super sure that I am going to forget English before I can learn how to speak in French but it's fun, a little daunting but fun.

6. Run
We all plan to get fit or loose weight but between the classes and all the junk we eat there is no time to exercise. Well now's the time. Run or walk, go to gym or just dance but try to become healthier. Why? Three reasons a) it's great for your heart, lungs and mind  b) It makes your skin more healthy c) most importantly it eases stress and even though our parents think we are kings and queens with no worries in the world we all know that being a teenager or even a young-adult is the most stressful job in the world so RUN!

Have great vacations and hopefully we will get a great result too, fingers crossed.

XOXO
Arushi Raj
